Hi. Years ago, on the FTD Support Forum, which is USA-based, I "met" Mr Samadani. He has become a good friend, and helped me through some very difficult times when I was caring for my husband. Mehdi lives in Kerman, Iran, cares for his wife, and for many years has run an extraordinary Iranian dementia support organisation called Dardashna, which means 'One who knows the pain'. It is the only one of its kind in that country. In extremely difficult circumstances he has built up a network of online support groups, advice-giving workshops and has written several booklets in Farsi as well as English. This book, which is in English, is available on Amazon. It contains a series of very practical tips for everyday situations faced by carers, and it is presented in an easy-reference format for those who have little time to read but need tips quickly. I highly recommend it.
