Hello everyone
An important question , I’m sure other people have asked ,
how do you Know when forgetfulness is just old age and when it’s the start of something bigger ?

I have had one test several years ago , which found nothing wrong, because I feel I knew the questions before I went , and they never change .
lately I’ve become properly paranoid about getting dementia.
i would be happy to join any trails .
im 84 this year.
any advise welcome

Hello @GGR most people experience levels of forgetfulness as they age, I know I do, but if you are overly worried about something, including whether you may have dementia or not, then that can cause problems too. It's good that you've been tested previously and nothing wrong was found, and dementia is much more than just forgetfulness, so try not to worry if you can, although I know that that is easier said than done sometimes. I was just about to post a link to the factsheet in the message above, but if you still have concerns it would be best to speak to your GP so that they can check and hopefully put your mind at rest.
