losing pension credit or council tax reduction on you receiving carers allowance, you could always compensate them the difference out of the CA depending on how much you receive.

Receiving Carers Allowance is not connected to the finance of the person for whom you are caring apart from the fact that they must be in receipt of a qualifying benefit like DLA or AA.

It will not affect their pension credits apart from the Severe disability premium which is paid to people in receipt of pension credits who do not have a person claiming CA for caring for them.

It will have no effect on council tax, it will only affect the severe disability premium of pension credits.
