Another scan

After at least 4 years of memory issues/repetition, my mum has been diagnosed with Alzheimers after a CT scan. She now has an appointment for an MRI scan. Does anyone know what an MRI might show that a CT doesn't?

It is more accurate at showing cerebral atrophy.
Brain shrinks and ventricles increase in size
