Helen your photos of Alan & friend are beautiful.:) When my Mum was at home she had a trained dementia patients sitter who used to bring a special doll with her which was supposed to encourage participation. She loved it! Now she is in the nursing home and bed-bound she has several soft toys, these sit in a row at the bottom of her bed and she talks to them. But her favourite is a teddy that my neighbour gave her last Christmas, she strokes him all the time, gives him a 'spit' wash, and generally enjoys his company. What ever makes her happy I say and 'Alfie' obviously does.:)

Hi May

Thanks for your post. As I read the above, I could just picture it and it made me really smile.

Love to you, mum and Alfie:)
