I was wondering if anyone can tell me what 15 is as a score in the memory test?

Yes you're right, caring can be very lonely. I hope that sharing how you feel on this forum will help a little bit with the loneliness. There's usually someone around to talk to.

I'd imagine the score of 15 would have been on the MMSE - the Mini Mental State Exam. The full score for this is 30. This is the NHS link which mentions that test -

This site mentions the scoring and suggests that a score of 15 is moderate -

Of course that may not be the test you're talking about. I think it would be a good idea to have a good talk with the medics who undertook the test so they can explain the result to you.

Assuming the test was the MMSE a score of of 13 to 20 is generally taken to indicate moderate dementia.

The diagnosis has to take other clinical evidence into consideration.

The level of education can also affect the score, highly educated people can obtain an artificially high score.
