Dear Sue

I always feel really anxious before i go visit mum as i really dont know what to expect anymore. If i manage to get a smile, or mum lets me hold her hand it means the world to me.When she doesnt seem to know me, its like been punched in the stomach!!! We know its the illness but it still breaks our hearts.
I just pray they are not suffering,i would take all the pain for mum.

My thoughts are with you Sue,keep strong.

Ups & Downs

Hi Sue

Your post really struck a chord - we visit Dad daily & always with trepidation as we enter the ward as to how he is going to be today. Good days & bad days are what we expect from this terrible illness - but I don't thing anything prepares us for the extremes of these "ups & downs". One day heartache - the next day almost crying with emotion because Dad is on "such good form".

Treasure the memories of the "better days" and be assured that you are not alone.

Thinking of you & hoping for a better visit next time.

Love

Gill x

thanks again for such kind words, we are all suffering terribly. I have never ever felt such sadness as i have done during the last few months. I just pray to god that my dad isnt suffering,

Heres to us all for a happier visit next time x
