Hello Riaujonc, welcome to Talking Point.

I am sorry to read that you feel your mother has not recieved an adequate assessment. Can I ask if you have contacted the Memory Clinic again about this? I do think I would go back to them again. One tip I picked up from TP is to keep a diary of events, and show this to memory clinic.

There is an AS factsheet What is Vascular Dementia, which may answer some of your concerns.

If you wish to start a thread of your own, where you can ask more questions or gain support, you can so on the main forum by following this link. Click on the grey box that says Post New Thread.

Very best wishes to you all, please let us know how you get on x

Memory clinic scores

Mother in law had her memory clinic today and scored 51/98 but they wouldn't tell us anything other than it is some form of dementia and referred her to a consultant. Any idea what that score means?
