Not sure what I can do or if anyone can offer some advice but husband is driving me mad constantly raiding cupboards looking for anything sweet to eat. So far today he's had a whole packet of biscuits, 4 cakes, a mars bar, and a bar of chocolate and he's now on his third pudding after dinner and I know it will continue tonight. I've tried not buying things, but he just gets cross about it so I've given in. Luckily he's really skinny but not sure for how much longer the amount he is eating. He was diagnosed with Frontotemperal lobe dementia, and I have read that wanting sweet food is a symptom. He eats most things, except I have noticed he's not eating so many vegetables. I've suggested an apple or orange, but he doesn't want them he wants sugary things. I'm at my wits end to know how to stop him. And the above list of sugary food for today is just what I've seen!
