Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride for A.S. 26 Jun- 8 July

40(plus vat) year old man currently training and fundraising for this challenge which will require cycling 80-100 miles over 12 days.

My parents met at a cycling event on Dads 17th Birthday - following her death in January it seemed fitting to sign up for this event.

You are certainly too young to remember but in the mists of time around 50 years ago Universities used to take part in a long distance running relay between Lands End and John O Groats. My husband, now suffering from AD was a member of the Birmingham University Team who held the record for a while. This is one of the things he does still remember. Apparently they took a pebble form Lands End and deposited it at John O Groats. The best of luck in your venture
