Hi, I know you aren't meant to remind people with Alzheimers of negative things and when they make things up or are talking but it doesn't always make sense, just to agree and listen and continue the conversation as normal. However, with certain things you have to remind them what's wrong. Is there a nicer way of doing it? So, I've read about people preventing family with Alzheimers of driving, but my dad can't drive and usually just gets in the car as a passenger and has done this for over a year now with no real questioning. However, recently he had to be reminded of why he's not allowed to drive and I was wondering if there was a better way than..... you're not allowed or because you have Alzheimers. He got quite upset when he was told/reminded.
