My Mum attended a Dementia-friendly Indoor Bowls club, and now that she's passed we'd like to maybe help establish a similar group within other local Indoor Bowls clubs (which generally seem to be flourishing).
As I understand it, Mum's local Dementia-Friendly Indoor Bowls club was initially set up with strong help from the Alz Soc, but they then left it to run entirely on a voluntary basis by the local Bowls Club itself.
Is there anyone in Alz Soc who could provide similar expertise / initiative now to establish another such club/session within other (existing) local Bowls groups. I'm sure there's still considerable demand.
