after about 4 years we finally have a confirmed diagnosis for my hubby, he has frontotemporal dementia.
don't know what i expected, relief maybe but i don't feel anything yet, i don't feel any different than when they told us he had a dementia but unsure which one.
suppose we just have to deal with it like we have been doing for the past 4 years or so

Yes , it’s knowledge but it doesn’t necessarily make it better does it @Debz5564 . Maybe in the coming months and years it will be better to know than be unsure about type.

It seems to takes years before to get a diagnosis. Nothing usual unfortunately and when we do get it will still have to struggle. Just not enough services for dementia problems

Take your time processing the diagnosis. You've been handling challenges with strength. :)
Please remember thar you are not alone in facing these challenges.
