Hi there, I would appreciate feedback if anyone has used these type of products as I am thinking of getting some for my mother. I visit mum during the day to assit with going to the loo but often find she is wet through when I get there and needs a complete change. I have tried different liners but she will remove these and try and flush them away. She reluctantly wears disposable pants at nightime but takes them off during the night so would expect the same with trying this tatic during the day! So for daytime I wondered if the washable products might work becasue they look like ' normal' pants and would help her be more comfortable and less of a hassle all round although they are expensive!

No, the ones she showed us were definitely complete washable pants - I asked if there were any that pads could be put into and she said no. Chezzie, it wouldn't hurt to contact your local Continence Service and ask!

Every area is different can only speak for mine :)

Many thanks for your replies with this piph and Jeany123. The thread was useful to look at too. After all my research on this I feel as if I could be a contender on Mastermind with this as my specialist subject :) I will see if I can contact the continence service again - they never got back to me before ( some months ago!) to see what they can offer. The Age UK all in ones might be worth a try.

To compound matters I have to be away for a few weeks and therefore need the carers to to do an extra visit to try and encourage mum to the loo etc. Oh lawks I won't hear the last of it when I get back!
