Hello,Hi @jessie.denyer
mum liked the bottom row the best - either the green or blue. She really found the black background difficult as did the yellow one. She said the options at the bottom were also quite hard to read.
thanks for this. It’s difficult for people with late dementia to contribute to stuff so it was lovely for us to sit for 5 mins to help you.
Here’s a pic of her looking - you can add to ur study you have involved people with dementia in your research 🥰🥰
I have developed my designs a little further!
There are three packs of cards, one pack would be conversation starters with simple questions. Ranging from questions about childhood to questions about hobbies. The second pack is image cards, so family members can talk with their loved ones about what the image reminds them of which can also spark interesting stories and conversations. And finally, the third pack is sensory texture cards with recognisable fabrics. On the back of these cards will be images linking to where the texture is from, along with a question to spark conversations about the texture. I am also thinking about doing scented cards as well (like scratch and sniff!)
I have also designed a very simple board game to accompany the cards. This game would give people the chance to enjoy some quality time with their loved ones who have Dementia.
I have attached some photos of the printed cards that I have made, along with an image of the board game.
I would be very grateful for any feedback from anyone! Any suggestions on how to improve the designs are also welcomed!
Jessie
