Thanks to all of you who gave help and advice on my mum's scratching habit. I contacted the doctor about her tablets maybe having a side effect of itching and although she said it was highly unlikely I am to wean mum off them and contact her in 2 weeks time. I am a bit apprehensive as she hasn't seen her, this was done over the phone!! Next step is I'm waiting for Social Services to come and assess her, not bad as she was diagnosed 6 years ago and I only found out this week she should have a care manager and care plan. I did manage to track down an Admiral Nurse who will be contacting dad early August to see him. It seems to me that no-one tells you what is available and you have to find everything out for yourself. Luckily my new neighbour is a social worker, so be warned if I learn that there is anyone out there who can help my mum & dad I will be on them and I don't give up!!
