Hello @Dawnie65 and welcome to Talking Point.

The main thing here is - have you had this investigated? There are many reasons for memory loss apart from dementia - vitamin deficiency, thyroid underaction, menopause, brain fog following covid, stress, depression - I could go on.

If you havent had it investigated please go and see your GP and start the ball rolling.

Hello @Dawnie65
A warm welcome from me too

You're clearly concerned
There are though, as canary mentions, quite a few causes of memory blips/problems ... and daft as it sounds, worrying about this makes you notice more, which makes you slip more; a vicious cycle ... there's an advert currently about someone worrying whether a lump is cancer, carrying a weighty box that symbolises the worry ... they go to see their GP and discover they are fine so the weight is lifted .... so please chat with your GP ... maybe there's nothing to worry about, maybe there is something that can be sorted out ... best to find out rather than jump to conclusions
