Following reply from recent post. My wish list. 1. Someone to clean her teeth daily. 2. Someone to shower, wash hair weekly. 3. Someone to contact for ad hoc help, so i dont have to refuse invitations which dont fall on carers' half day. 4. Someone to come in, say twice a year in the evening to stay, feed and put her to bed, so i can go out for a meal with my sister (birthdays). Finally, someone to call in energency. (Husband taken into hospital emergency, split myself in two?)
Look forward to seeing others wish list.

I've been asking myself this question for a couple of weeks following husband who has Alzheimer's having a stroke. I know I need some help but what do I want? I want one day to myself each week at home, someone to get him up a couple of days per week when he is not co-operative, a daytime sit per week and an evening out once per month or so. Is that too much? Actually answering this has clarified it for me and the day is definitely the priority!
