Sky tv... trying to see if it will work with our needs

Hey there,
Don't know if anyone has done this yet.
So at the mo, I have channels 1-9 set up to Ma's fav programs. Usually comedy and old movies. Example movie channel is 34 but re-programmed to channel 6.
I'm looking for more comedy channels (gold uk?) and apparently have to get sky .
Do you know if I can still re-program the channels?

Some TVs allow you to program favourite lists. You can buy dementia friendly remotes that can be programmed to work the sky box, need to set tv to switch on from scart.
