My dear wife, Ann, lost her fight with dementia on Thursday and passed away peacefully in her sleep whilst in Peterborough Hospital
Coming to terms with her death is as unbearable as was the dementia diagnosis.

Thinking of you

A huge gap in your life that seems impossible to fill.

You won't fill it, but it will feel less empty one day

Dennis, So very sorry, I know from your posts how much she meant to you. Take what comfort you can that her passing was peaceful and that her suffering is over.
Stay strong my friend.
Mike.

I`m so sorry for your loss Denis. It is true what you say, there are no winners. The illness is awful and so is the loss.

Peace to you Dennis. Don't forget to remind yourself every day that you did all you could and that such time as you had together with your beloved wife was a true blessing. Heartfelt good wishes from me to you at this so sad time.:)

You have been Ann's loving, staunch, defender and protector Dennis.
She'll always be in your heart now - just a thought away.
Nothing can hurt her again.
So sorry for your loss.

Ann

These beautiful words were in a card from one of Ann's long-time carers; I thought them so worthy of posting.

She is not far away, she will always near
In the memories you hold most dear
In the hearts that still care
In the love that goes on
She will never be far
She will never be gone
