Brilliant.

I think there quite a few schools in Scotland now have links with care homes and do awareness raising for pupils re dementia.

An example of resources -

I think it is lovely that they are doing this with children to help with intergenerational empathy. My youngest grandaughter is disabled ,she is in a wheelchair and goes to a special school. I notice that she has always had a special bond with her grandad almost as though she sees him on her team. She is also very at ease at my husband's dementia home whereas her sister is very anxious around the residents.
Perhaps after the election they could do some awareness training with governments and LA.

I think they are pairing up carehomes with schools and preschools. I think they adopt them as grandparents. The children used to write letters in the pandemic. They really do mix well and children are so non judgemental
