The findings on the incidence of neuro-degenerative conditions like dementia, Parkinsonism or MND amongst rugby players are frightening. (The risk is about 2 and a half times that of the general public.) I would seriously advise anyone whose children are involved in rugby, football, boxing, etc, to think very carefully about the health risks.

But is anyone really that surprised that bashing your head a lot causes damage to your brain?
