Respite

Does anyone know the answer to this please

MIL gets respite from the LA every 8 weeks for 2 weeks. She has to pay half the cost of it due to her savings. My question is this.........when her London flat is sold she will obviously have money so will she still get respite via the LA or will it stop. I will never cope if she gets no respite

A carer's right to respite doesn't go away but it's means-tested so you might have to pay more for it.

Oh that's good so she will have to pay the full amount. Thank you for your help, it has eased my worry
