Pain and Dementia

Really there is not a lot of written on pain and dementia which frustrate me a lot , A lot of people think with memory loss we forget what pain is or where is it and has a person with LBD I can sure you that Im really aware of it how my failed knee replacement is causing me so much pain all the time , at times it worse than my LBD, but at hospital Trying to communicate this to my surgeon is difficult this due to my language skills are very much declining it will not be long before i stop talking altogether and the surgeon dismissing this has I wont need help because of this dementia patents will soon forget the pain and you might not live long enough to worry about it

Could you print your post and show it to the consultant. It sounds as if you are still well able to communicate using the written word and find it easier than speaking.
