Hi,
I need to arrange respite for my mother. As I have to take my father for surgery abroad. The memory clinic seems very pessimistic that the local authority will find a place. And suggest I don't give them the date but just say it needs to be arranged. Was wondering if anybody has any experience or advice with working with the authorities in North Wales

hello @welshlizard
a warm welcome to DTP
you have a lot on your plate looking out for your mother and father

it may be that your Local Authority can help with respite, it's definitely worth contacting them, if nothing else your mother will then be on their radar
however, having respite organised for a specific time period can be difficult, so you'd be wise to make enquiries yourself too
