We had our meeting with the assessment team about Mum possibly being eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare.
While they welcomed our input, the whole decision process has to be evidenced, therefore they really study the care plan, care sheets which have to be provided by the care/nursing home or the care team.
It is really important that everything is documented. While Mum's nursing home is excellent in writing everything down, they were "reprimanded" that they had not mentioned in writing the way they have to medicate her (in her case: covert).
So I think the more thorough the careteam is in noting everything down, every incident etc. the more chance you have. Our experiences with Mum when visiting her were listened to but not taken onboard at all.
