My father has now passed away

My father has now passed away, had just received a call from the care home to say that they thought he was on his way, I was unable to drive or cycle still being in shock from my mothers death yesterday to go and see him (he never would have wanted me to risk my life) but I saw and hugged him yesterday.

It's so very sad, but also so very moving, for them to have been together for all those years and to pass in two days, it's as if they are meant to be together.

It's you my heart goes out to, I'm sure they're happy now that their suffering is over and peace has been returned to them both.

I can feel some joy that neither lived without the other and because their living had become so difficult for them.
But you must feel bereft without them - an emptiness hard to bear.
