Just a quick update. Not been on TP recently for personal reasons but thought I'd let my friends on here know that after 10 months in the challenging behaviour unit, and having been told that it was unlikely mum would still be here past Christmas, mum is still with us and will be moving to our preferred nursing home on Wednesday.
I have very mixed feelings about it all but am hoping that the move will go smoothly.
I visited tonight and fed mum her meal. She seems quite calm at the moment and I hope this continues in her new home.
I am sad to be saying goodbye to the wonderful staff who have cared for mum with such love and compassion whilst she has been in the unit. They are an amazing team and as a family we are so grateful for everything they have done for mum.
I'll try to get back on later in the week with news of how the move has gone.
