It is hard when you see a lot of changes, but how do you know that it will be your mums last? Twice this year I have been told by the doctors that mum would probably not survive and I did not think that she would last until Christmas - but she has.

hi jelba
I wonder about my dad too
but like canary I appreciate that nothing is certain - I'm determined to have a lovely Christmas Day with dad just in case, going for lunch at his care home and taking one of his sisters too - but will also take each day as it comes, expecting little, hoping for the best (whatever that may turn out to be)
best wishes to you and your mum
