Mum had been in hospital for 6 weeks and was discharged to care home the Coronavirus Emergency Legislation...

Before being in hospital she was living at home.

We don't know what happens after theCoronavirus emergency period ends.

Two questions

1) is any one else in the same situation?

2) Does enyone know when the emergency period ends?

Thanks

Jackie

Hello @Jackie123. Sorry to hear about your mum.

There may be others in the same situation who have missed seeing your post. I`ve only just seen it today. I do know many carers have their dear people with dementia in care homes and in hospital and have no way of visiting them or making personal contact with them. It must be extremely distressing.

Personally, it might be best if your mother has gone straight from hospital into residential care. Hospital stays can be disorientating for people with dementia and it sounds like whoever has suggested this did so in your mother`s best interests.

I wish someone knew when this emergency might end but it sounds as if it will continue for a good while yet.
