Hi, My mother is an Alzheimer's patient and presently she stays with me after the death of my father. She has trouble coming up with names and often misplaces things here and there. I am fine taking care of her, but the problem is that I have to re-join work after a break of about three years. I have spoken to one of an assisted living community in California which is near us. But I don't know how she might react when I introduce this topic to her. I just don't want to hurt her feeling.

Good morning and welcome to TP. I'm sure this is not an easy time for you. I'm glad you have found this forum and am sure you will get lots of help and support here.

    Welcome to TP :)

Could your mum continue living with you with carers coming in through the day to help her. Could she go to day centre?
I'm not sure how it works in California.
