My wife was diagnosed with dementia at 63 and there was support from the NHS. After the family prepared they professionals then after a few months then changed their minds and informed us that it was MCI. It has been a difficult few years where I have tried to visit all of our old holiday places even took the family to Disney. We have just visited previously places in France and Scotland but her memory was very limited. I am about to revisit the diagnosis with the GP for an update,
It is becoming difficult to carry out the tasks we used to do together so will wait and see.

Hello @Putties and welcome, this is a friendly and supportive place. Sorry to hear about your wife. Those with MCI can go on to develop dementia, it happened to my mum, but hopefully your visit to the GP will be helpful in confirming the current position with regards to a diagnosis for your wife.
