Received a call that MIL had fallen. Went to the home and she was tucked up in bed fast asleep. Apparently last night she was seen to be leaning to the right in the armchair so they decided to put her to bed as she looked so uncomfortable.

In the time took them to fetch the hoist and a wheelchair, she had fallen out of the chair onto the right hand side of her forehead. It looks like in the next few days, she's going to have the most awful bruise which will probably be right down the right hand side of her face. She also has a carpet burn above her eyebrow. Fortunately they said that she didn't appear distressed by it, but they have done everything they can to make her comfortable. Thank goodness she didnt break her nose..........What a nightmare............2 visits to two different Nursing Homes in 2 days to sort out problems is just too much......:(

Your poor MIL, unfortunately falls are all too common in CH's and often unpreventable. It's so upsetting though. Do hope any injuries are just superficial and any bruises fade soon.
