Lonely Dad

Hi everyone. I hope that you are coping as best as you all can.

I just need advice.

My mum is now in a care home. My parents haven't been apart in 60 years. My dad is lonely. I got him through the initial few weeks. He was so sad. Now he has carers 3 times a day. But I stay at least 4 days a week. He makes me feel so guilty when I leave. I feel absolutely terrible. I don't know what to do. Im going to stay tomorrow but I already feel so guilty for Tuesday when l leave. He calls 2 or 3 times a day. Does anyone have anything to suggest l do in this situation. X

Are there appropriate services for him in the community @GinaBear?

Like community lunches, mens sheds etc that he could attend?

Silverline and Royal Voluntary Services also do telephone befriending which may help.
