Hi my name is kelly! My dad is in hospital at the moment and i want my son to move in with him to be his night time carer although his is in a council house , does anyone no it my son will have to pay rent to live there as his carer please ?

It might be best to ask the council unless anyone else has had the same experience and will post a reply to you.

My son is 23 years of age, he’s a good lad and really helpful

I don’t think he will need to pay rent…but there will be implications for council tax if the property is exempt for your Dads dementia.
