I'm new! HELLO :-)

Hi All!

My name is Lizzie and I'm caring for my Mum (along with my sisters) who has Alzheimer's disease.

She was diagnosed a few months back, although she knew something was wrong three years ago and that's when she had me sort out her lasting powers of attorney.

She lives at home, with a lot of support from us, but its getting to that point now where she is experiencing delusions that she is fixated on and we can't seem to move her away from them. I think we'll need to find some more 'formal' care for her at home.

I'm finding it really hard. I live far away from her so can't visit her very often though I face time her twice daily to support with her medications.

Anyway - here I am - hello!
