I need a break please

Hubby is now 12 months into being diagnosed with Alzheimer's but i'm sure he's had it for at least a further 12! I desperately need some help in the form of someone coming in to our house so that I can go out on my own, he wants me to be with him 24/7 and I am exhausted.

You will see that there are Factsheets that will help with things like getting care needs assessments, deciding the level of care required and sorting out useful things like Wills, Power of Attorney etc., if any of that hasn't already been done.

caring can feel relentless sometimes
have you had an assessment of your husband's care needs by your Local Authority Adult Services, he has a right to this and you have a right to a Carer's assessment ... hopefully some respite and day care will then be arranged
