Short report on CQC not publishing their reports on visits to care homes made after concerns being raised by relatives or staff. The CQC would report only to the home but not make the report public. The report suggests that this was happening a few years back but not now.
However when my Mom went into the NH there was a "Red Cross" on the CQC web site regarding staffing levels and the report was dated June 2014. There are still concerns and 3 "emergency" CQC visits have taken place since. I checked the CQC site today and the "Red Cross" is now a "Green Tick" and the 2014 report has gone and replaced by a 2012 report
