Has anyone had door sensor or pressure pads installed. Thinking of doing this but do not know which is the better option.

Hi, it depends what you want it to do, there are many different types. We have a sencit monitor which sends me a text when the front door is opened or if there is no movement around the house for several hours. It's wonderful for us but I live 200 miles away from mum so I need a text as I won't hear an alarm.
I think there are several threads for monitors and aids if you try the search tool.

Have you asked for a carer's assessment and a visit from an OT to assess the needs. They may also set up a Telecare system and advise on this kind of thing.

Thanks I am awaiting an assessment. Thought I might get one fitted beforehand so as I could get a good night sleep. Up every two hours last night. Frightened I might sleep through a roam.
