Hello everyone. My name is Simon and my wife and I, Sara are supporting my father-in-law who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in February. He is a sprightly 88 year old and is currently living independently in sheltered accommodation. He has only 10% vision and has been registered as blind all his life. His condition has been deteriorating significantly since his diagnosis despite him being prescribed drugs which are meant to slow the decline. He will very soon need additional care and we are currently trying to work out the best way to provide this. Any help and guidance as to what the next steps should be would be much appreciated, Simon

Welcome @Sidman64

Sheltered accommodation will not be suitable for your father in law as his condition deteriorates.

Have you had an assessment of needs for him?

I hope these links help
