Hello, I’m a new member

I’ve just joined this forum as I was given a diagnosis of young onset Alzheimer’s just before Christmas. It’s all very new and I’m trying to understand what this means for me. I’m an ex PE teacher, now retired at 61 years old and living with my husband in the Lake District. I would like to try to find other people or groups in my area who I can learn from. is there a sub forum for this kind of question?

When I spoke to the doctor at the hospital, I was told that I would be referred to a specialist nurse. I haven’t heard from anyone yet. Can anyone advise what to expect about when a nurse may be in touch?
