Dad 76 diagnosed with Mild Cognitive impairment, and his CT scan results are as above.
The frontal lobe atrophy is moderate to severe, and highly likely due to Dads early years of boxing and alcohol.
They say he doesn't present with dementia, some mild memory problems, visuo spatial awareness issues but otherwise all the memory tests were good for his age.
From what I have read small vessel disease can be attributed to a TIA? But also at risk of further possible TIA/stroke.

Is it worth bringing this up with Dads GP?

I certainly think this is worth discussing with your dad's GP. My mother had TIAs and she had vascular dementia. I think this is quite common. I know there is no medication for vascular dementia (such as Aricept) but I think a discussion with the GP would be helpful.
