Fast trasck CHC funding

This is a duplicate post; I posted the first version on the CHC funding sticky, but wanted to make sure it got seen.

I am interested to hear from others whose loved ones have gone though the fast track process to be awarded CHC funding. Namely, did it all go through OK - was anyone declined
How quick was the process.
Once granted, at the three month review stage, what was the process and was the funding continued?

Once it's been signed it is usually approved the same or next working day, my wife's was done in half a day. It is rarely refused.

My wife lasted 3½ months without any mention of a review,

My dad's was approved the next day. Sadly he only lived for a week afterwards.

My late Mum was declined....she died 8 weeks or so later, still paying for her care.

Wow Cragmaid, that must have been very stressful for you?

It was..it came just after we moved house....actually into her old house which we bought, because the one we would have got fell through three days before completion, meanwhile the GP and I were arranging the DNAR and the ECHP and life was quite simply sh*tty

But life goes on and you get through these things. It is, however, a hell of a learning curve.
