One of the things I often do when on the internet is go into Google's 'News Search' and type in 'Alzheimer's' or 'Dementia' to see what's new in the www - here's something I found today that I thought might be worth sharing...
http://www.kfoxtv.com/health/5451764/detail.html
It's an article about an experimental drug called Flurizan that is in the final phase of clinical trials at the Boston University Medical Center, and the article states that the drug appears to slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease and, in some patients, even helped bring back memory.
Interesting stuff I thought... and I dug a bit deeper and got the following links...
http://www.alz.org/news/05q2/050305.asp (An older news article)
http://www.myriad.com/alzheimers/flurizan.php (the company who make the drug)
I also contacted the company that make the drug to see if they'd send any info. out to me via post (you know... that thing we used to use before email!) - if I get a reply, I'll let you all know.
Anyhow - back to 'Flurizan' - any thoughts on this folks?
