Good evening all,
i wonder if anyone could advise me please.
my dad has dementia and is in a home today he was assessed and he will be moving within the home to an EMI unit we wanted for him to have continuing care but they said he has to go here first.

Hi Kal,

I assume your dad has to be moved to give him more care. There is nothing to stop you applying for NHS CC while he is being moved and there is an excellent section in the Resources section of the forum which will give you pointers as to how to go about applying. It's a multi-disciplinary assessment so there will need to be input from the medical profession, Social Services and Consultant or CPN.
