The more I think about it the more I realise that true support for people with dementia and their carers is not there. The only sensible way to provide proper effective support would be for one person to be there to coordinate support and help from all the various agencies inviolved. Unfortunately this is something that doesn't happen and it seems the various agencies don't communicate. When I worked in child protection it was called 'working together ' and it should be the same with dementia. Perhaps I expect too much.
