We here on TP know full well about the 'post code lottery' don't we and its effects on how Carers are helped or, more often, not helped to cope! We read of carers almost everyday who are not getting the help they need. And we read of their despair and desperation.
We can only support the AZ Society in their aims as much as we can to end this terrible state of affairs. I'm glad that the report included the word 'dementia'. For me it is a far more accurate term than Alzheimer Disease as my husband has Lewy Body Dementia. There are so many forms of dementia and Alzheimers, the one recognised the most, thanks to the publicity which the Society has generated, is still regarded by many as a gentle, progressive disease which means people become 'forgetful'.
