Pub backs battle
Apr 18 2007
Northwich Chronicle

A WEAVERHAM publican is backing Stephen Johnson's fight for justice.

Alan Doleman, who runs the Hanging Gate, became friends with Stephen and Rod when they used to visit the pub.

Alan said: 'Rod used to pop into the pub before his brain haemorrhage and he was always a delight to see. I suffered a brain haemorrhage myself some years ago and fortunately I managed make a recovery, unlike Rod, whose prognosis is not good. I wholeheartedly support Stephen in his fight to get the funding for his brother that is being denied by the PCT.'

Alan is lending a helping hand by distributing Stephen Johnson's Campaign for Justice information leaflet.

'Everyone who comes in always asks me if there are any new developments. Unfortunately, we don't see much of Stephen now as he is so busy campaigning.

'Myself, my wife and others have signed the online petition at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Continuing-Care/ and we are sure it will gain a lot more momentum. I hope that Rod receives the justice he deserves.'

Kind Regards,

Stephen (Johnson).
