Change to tenants in common

Wondering if anyone can give me any advice please. My OH has been in nursing home for 6 months. Is it still okay to change our joint tenancy to tenants in common or will it now be deemed by LA as deprivation of assets?

Yes you can change to Tenants in Common and thenleave your share of the house to who ever you want.

It doesnt count as Deprivation of Assets because your share of the house was never his.
