Cat scans

My father supposedly had a Cat scan August 2012 however there is some confusion as to whether it actually happened or not. He now has a new physiatrist apt in July 2014. Would the results from the 1st scan, if it happened, be used or after almost two years is a new likely to be requested???

The first scan would have excluded things like tumours, it would have also highlighted vascular problems and given an indication of the area(s) of the brain affected.

It would have established a datum for ant future scans.

A new scan is only likely if the progression of the dementia is outside the very wide progression that could be expected from the previous scan.
